FORT WORTH, Texas -- American Airlines today announced that it will resume its Boeing 777 service on daily flights between Raleigh/Durham and London Gatwick airports beginning April 1. The "Triple Seven" is the largest aircraft in the company's fleet. American switched to the smaller 767-300 aircraft following last year's decline in airline travel.

"Advance bookings are very encouraging on this trans-Atlantic route," said Mike Gunn, executive vice president for Marketing and Planning. "Customer demand suggests we bring back the largest aircraft in our fleet. We are delighted to be able to restore Triple Seven service between Raleigh/Durham and London Gatwick." ...
