Over the last fifty years, Buck Henry's work as a writer, actor, and director has made him a legendary figure in American mass media. His first professional work came at age sixteen when he was an actor in a 1946 Broadway production of Life With Father. During the Korean War, while a member of the Seventh Army Repertory Company, he wrote, directed, and performed in a musical that toured military bases in Germany.
