Tacoma Ford says poetry "just flows out of me." She's self-published six volumes of her verse, the last one, "Reflective Light," inspired by the Sept. 11 terrorist attack.
Poetry is the way this Laguna Hills, Calif., woman summarizes her life experiences. "And at 93, I've had a full life," she says.
Ford and others who journal, set down their memoirs, or tape-record the family history are bequeathing their values along with their valuables to the next generation, says Dr. Barry K. Baines. He wrote "Ethical Wills, Putting Your Values on Paper" (A Life Institute Book/Perseus Publishing, 2002).
