Ruptured disks and broken necks have a way of teaching people lessons. Dick Finlon learned two.
His experiences taught the Denver financial manager that fitness trainers can give people with injuries the boost they need to get back on that mountain bike - or ski slope, or golf course.
Finlon also learned that at age 53, it was high time he mellowed out.
``I'm a more moderate mountain biker now,'' said Finlon, a lifelong outdoor sports enthusiast who has toured with his wife by bike all over the world, including Europe, Vietnam and the southern coast of Africa.
