PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local EURO-MAROC-PHOSPHORE (EMAPHOS) is currently gearing-up to build a new purified phosphoric acid (PPA) plant in Morocco. Construction plans under consideration call for building a factory with an installed production capacity of 120,000 metric tons per year. In so doing, the needed solvent extraction technology will be supplied by PRAYON-RUPEL. Production output is intended to enable supplying PRAYON's phosphate salt units in North America and Europe.

The new facility, to be sited at Jorf Lasfar, is expected to cost $50,000,000 to complete. And, operational start-up is scheduled for the end of the year 2003.
