PROJECT OVERVIEW:
A letter of intent was recently signed between the local PRO-BARRANQUILLA FOUNDATION and various Colombian investors regarding the construction of a new coke plant in the country. The new facility is intended to enable supplying the needs of US and Brazilian steel industries.
The Colombian companies interested in taking an equity stake in the project includePROMIGAS, NAVIERA FLUVIAL COLOMBIANA, CEMENTOS CARIBE, TERMOFLORES, SIDERURGICA DEL NORTE and SANCHEZ POLO.
