In 2000, U.S. independent corrugator plants reported an average 3.3 percent increase in square footage from 1999 with an 11.9 percent increase in annual dollar sales, according to the Profile of the Independent Corrugated Converter, a new statistical portrayal of the independent sector recently published by the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC), Alexandria, Va.

This increase follows a similar increase from 1998 to 1999 in both square footage and dollars of more than 8 percent. Independent sheet plants in all U.S. regions reported significant increases in square footage and dollar sales from 1998 through 2000.
