Danbury's downtown is undergoing a revival of sorts, fueled by -- among other things -- the city's burgeoning immigrant population that is adding spice and energy to Main Street.

A melting pot of ethnic restaurants and grocery stores pepper the downtown section, along with everything from travel agencies to clothing stores to furniture stores owned and operated by ethnic entrepreneurs. Even downtown banks are careful to have bi-lingual tellers and officers to meet the changing language demands of the area.
