Feb. 1--The Republican candidate for state attorney general is drawing criticism from public watchdog groups for being employed at a law firm that earned hundreds of thousands of dollars lobbying for Enron.
Former Texas Supreme Court Justice Greg Abbott went to work for Bracewell & Patterson after stepping down from the court last year to run for another elected office.
The Houston-based firm, with offices in Fort Worth and across the country, lobbied for the troubled energy giant until withdrawing last month.
