Even if the Anti-Spanking Brigade (ASB) fails in its ongoing Supreme Court bid to criminalize bum-swatting, don't hold your breath--sooner or later they'll drag another hapless parent to a court near you. They think outlawing corporal punishment will make for a kinder, safer world--like "childproofing," but on a grander scale. You know all about childproofing: you do it when your baby starts crawling, or when the grandchildren visit. You put up gates and stash the dangerous stuff so Junior can roam freely and safely.
