TI AND TOPPAN SIGN DEFINITIVE AGREEMENT TO FORM
JOINTLY OWNED PHOTOMASK COMPANY
DALLAS, March 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Officials of Texas Instruments Inc. (NYSE: TXN) and Toppan Printing Co. Ltd. today signed a definitive agreement to establish a jointly owned U.S. company that will acquire TI's internal photomask operation in Dallas. This agreement formalizes the understanding which was first announced in December 1989, when TI signed a letter of intent with Toppan. The sale is expected to be finalized at the end of March.
