PALACE staff are so worried about the deterioration in the health of the Queen Mother they are making plans for her to remain at Sandringham, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
Doctors have told her she is too ill to travel this week to Windsor, where she is due to mark the 50th anniversary of her husband's death on Wednesday.
Her absence from the private annual service at St George's Chapel, where George VI is buried, is particularly poignant this year.
The pilgrimage is regarded by the Queen Mother as 'a very special moment'.
