GOV. CASEY TOURS CONVENTION CENTER SITE
PHILADELPHIA, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Gov. Robert P. Casey today toured the site of the Pennsylvania Convention Center and stressed the importance of the facility to the tourism industry in the commonwealth.
"This is my first personal visit to the site of the new Pennsylvania Convention Center," Casey said. "The commonwealth has made a $185 million investment and we're already seeing the return.
"The future for the new convention center is bright. The early interest in booking dates is an encouraging sign. That means new jobs, new revenues, new vitality for the city and the state."
