A tribute to a larger-than-life legend becomes an intimate celebration when the remembrances of the great Judy Garland are those of her daughter, Lorna Luft.
Luft will present a valentine to her mother in "A Celebration of the Music of Judy Garland: Songs My Mother Taught Me" Feb. 16 at The Hemmens in Elgin.
She opened the show in Las Vegas in 2000. "I was at a time where I was comfortable in my life and in my head and felt the wonderful arrangements and music shouldn't be sitting in a warehouse somewhere," she said.
