SEOUL, Feb 6 Asia Pulse - Daewoo Motor Co. said Wednesday that it will begin mass producing the new L6, a straight inline-six cylinder engine for passenger cars.
The carmaker said that with a length of 642mm, the six-cylinder engine is smaller than some of the conventional four-cylinder units mounted in many cars today and can therefor be readily transferred to their bodies without having to redesign gearboxes or engine space. The L6 engine comes in 2,000cc and 2,500cc models which accommodate front-wheel drive.
