FRENCH CONNECTION RESTRUCTURING
LONDON (FNS) - French Connection PLC, parent company of Nicole Farhi and Best of All Clothing (in the U.S.), is undertaking a restructuring program after plunging into the red in the first half.
The company has reported after-tax losses of 2.58 million pounds ($4.16 million U.S.) on sales of 26.69 million pounds ($42.98 million) for the six months ended July 31, 1989. This compares with after-tax profits of 532,000 pounds on sales of 29.34 million pounds in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Losses per share totaled 15.6 pence (25.12 cents), compared with earnings per share of 3.3 pence a year earlier. Currency ...
