Feb. 6--Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind has signed an agreement with the U.S. Navy to take over the operation of its supply store at the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, an official said yesterday.
The self-supporting nonprofit organization has also received a letter of intent from the U.S. Department of Treasury to open a supply store in Washington.
Together, the contracts are expected to result in sales of $2.5 million to $3 million for local organization.
