WHEN a family doctor from a practice in a pleasant rural village tells you he is going to escape stress at work by going to the Gaza Strip, your first reaction is not to believe him.
But when Dr Ben Alofs says the reason he decided to enter medicine in the first place was to help victims of conflict in the Middle East, his rationale becomes easier to understand.
