NEWTON, Iowa -- Maytag Corporation today announced it has entered into negotiations to sell its major appliance division's components parts business and facility, located in Jefferson City, Mo. Finalization of the sale to a leading powdered metal manufacturer is expected to occur within the second quarter of 2002.
