BROWNSVILLE - A Brownsville teen-ager died early Thursday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head during a game of Russian roulette, the sheriff said.
Troy Wayne Manning, 18, placed a single bullet in the chamber of a .38-caliber revolver he had recently acquired, held the gun to his head and pulled the trigger, Linn County Sheriff Dave Burright said.
"It's just a tragic story," Burright said. There was no indication that Manning wanted to commit suicide, he said.
