TEACHERS SUE LOS ANGELES UNION; CHALLENGING FORCED DUES SCHEME
LOS ANGELES, March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Moving to protect the rights of Los Angeles public school teachers, National Right to Work attorneys filed a class-action suit in Federal Court here today on behalf of 19 educators who charge that a forced union dues scheme violates their constitutional rights.
"The school board and union's forced dues procedure stomps all over the teachers' rights. We're weighing in on the side of the teachers and individual liberty," stated Rex Reed as he announced the suit. Reed is executive vice president of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation.
