FEDERAL LAW SETS MINIMUM WAGE AT $3.80 AN HOUR, EFFECTIVE APRIL 1

HARRISBURG, Pa., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- A federal law raising the minimum hourly wage to $3.80 goes into effect nationwide on April 1.

The increase will affect an estimated 300,000 Pennsylvanians who currently earn the state minimum of $3.70, according to the state Department of Labor and Industry.

The new law places Pennsylvania's minimum wage at the same rate paid in all other states.
