When Genoa Township's Pine Creek Ridge began seeking buyers in 1989, nobody thought people would move to the sticks of Livingston County to build an executive home, recalled Susan Doyle, an associate broker at Real Estate One in Brighton.
But doubters have been proved wrong.
Now phase six of the development is under way, with 43 executive-home lots for sale in the 710-acre former Boy Scout camp that's enhanced by hills, two lakes and two creeks.
If concrete and close density is what you want, then steer clear of Pine Creek - developed by Bingham Farms-based Riverplace Abbey L.L.C., the residential arm of Burton-Katzman Development Co.
