On the eve of retirement, Gail Warden of Henry Ford Health System has secured his legacy with colleagues nationally, even as he struggles to maintain it at home.
The 63-year-old president and CEO of Henry Ford Health is viewed nationally as a pioneer in building and successfully operating a fully integrated medical system. Warden plans to retire in 2003 or 2004.
Henry Ford Health is fully integrated in that it offers virtually every medical service from hospital care and graduate medical education to home health care and elder care.
