OVER THE PAST SEVERAL DECADES, theoretical perspectives on disability have undergone a major paradigm shift. Traditionally viewed as a deficit, disability is now more commonly understood as an element of human diversity. Concurrently, on university campuses, definitions of disability have been revised to locate disability within the discourses of multiculturalism and diversity.
