Naomi Vine, 52, museum director, died Dec. 24 in Long Beach after a battle with cancer. Vine held a Ph.D. in art history from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta. She had served as director of education at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago (1980-86), director of collections and programs and chief curator of the Dayton Art Institute (1986-88) and associate director of Atlanta's High Museum (1988-92). From 1992 to '95, she worked as a fund-raising and nonprofit management consultant for the New York-based C.W.
