Robert Strait is one plucky Texan. Sharing the Austin market with three of the industry's heavy-hitter retailers, he recently completed major work on a new home for his business, and moves forward with quiet confidence toward the Strait Music Company's 40th anniversary.
Back in the early '60s, Daniel Strait, Robert's father, worked at a Baldwin dealership in Houston. But when an Austin Baldwin franchise became available in 1963, he packed up, relocated, and launched his own business, Strait Music Company.
