A LOGO for National Savings which has added a conker and two extra words has soaked up [pound]2million of taxpayers' money.
The organisation will in future be known as National Savings & Investments following a two-year market research and re-brand inquiry.
Corporate identity company Citigate Lloyd Northover was paid [pound]393,000 for the 'inspirational' creation. Among its other recent triumphs was renaming The Barbican Centre 'Barbican'.
