PUTTING HER best foot forward on her first trip to Oregon, Joan Myers Brown, founder and executive and artistic director of the Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco), is doing sort of a greatest hits package.
"I do that purposefully," Myers explained by phone from her office in Philadelphia, "because it gives people who aren't familiar with modern dance an opportunity to see the work of four different choreographers. If they don't like one, they probably would like the rest of it.
