SCIENTISTS are to investigate whether vitamin C could prevent pre-eclampsia - a devastating condition that can rob the lives of mothers and babies.
Researchers at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital are looking at vitamins in a search for the cause of the illness, which affects 10 per cent of pregnant women.
