ATLANTA -- The American Cancer Society and the Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR), Division of Public Health, partnering organizations of the Georgia Cancer Coalition, are cosponsoring a public education campaign starting this month, to ensure that women get information about breast and cervical cancer screening that could save their lives.

If current trends continue, one in three women in Georgia will develop cancer some time during their lifetime, according to public health officials.
