I am appalled to see what is going on in Los Angeles involving Chief Bernard C. Parks. The mayor must have a few lug bolts missing to announce that he wants the chief replaced. You would have thought he would have learned something from his dad - not to walk into this situation. It is an insult to our intelligence to think it will not have a bearing on the commissioners' decision when he appointed them.
We have come down to the rank and file deciding who their boss, their chief executive officer, should be. Where in private business can the rank and file choose the CEO? What we have here is the patients running the asylum. - Frank Jacobs Sylmar
