An exhibit of watercolors by Richard English will be at the New Woodstock Free Library through Feb. 28, open to the public during all regular library hours.
Richard English's watercolors reflect his deep attachment for the rural landscape and rolling hill country of Upstate New York, where he grew up. He is best known for his winter scenes, but his work also includes landscapes from the Adirondacks, seacoast Maine, and the low country seacoast of South Carolina and from his travels abroad. Although the subject are different, there is a unity, as the paintings share many common elements of light and atmosphere. ...
