Panasonic Unveils Wide-Carriage 24-Pin Printer
The first wide-carriage, 24-pin dot matrix printer priced less than $700 has been introduced by Panasonic Communications & Systems Company. The KX-P1624 offers exceptional letter-quality (LQ) output and font versatility at a price targeted at the mid-range nine-pin printer market.
The 1624 prints draft output at a maximum burst speed of 192 characters per second (cps) and LQ output at a speed of 63 cps. Users can create crisp text output using any one or a combination of the five resident LQ fonts and two draft fonts.
