Topical wild yam herbal cream for hormonal problems is a 'novel' herbal remedy. It has no traditional or scientific support, no reasonable clinical evidence, does not conform to common sense and basic arithmetic, and specific but speculative claims are made for it; therefore, you should not believe the unbelievable.
In Australia, manufacturers circumvent the question of proof or efficacy by stating that wild yam herbal creams are 'traditional' but this is not correct. In a period of 2,000 years of written history, I doubt that a low dose topical application of any herb has been used as a systemic treatment, particularly for hormonal problems.
