Veteran Chicago-based investment banker David Abel, who is well-regarded locally for his quantitative analysis skills, will soon leave Banc One Capital Markets Inc. to move over to UBS PaineWebber Inc.
Abel had nothing but praise for his time at Banc One in an interview yesterday. He called the decision to move a "very tough one."
"The bank has been very good to me. I don't have one complaint about the bank," Abel said. "It's just that sometimes you have this tremendous opportunity that if you don't take you will look back on with regret."
