Lessons from history provide a way to glimpse the future. As we enter the 1990s, a look back at the 1890s can give us a valuable perspective.
Some aspects of American society 100 years ago differed greatly from those of today, while others were quite similar. By examining major forces for and against change, we can gain some insight as to what the future holds in store.
