Israeli F-16 warplanes launched a fresh wave of airstrikes on Palestinian Authority security installations in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah and the West Bank town of Ramallah late Monday night.
The airstrikes followed a series of armed attacks carried out by Palestinian militants in Gaza and the West Bank in the last few days, killing at least six Israelis.
In Rafah, Palestinian eyewitnesses said that Israeli F-16s targeted an installation for Arafat's elite Force 17 and the PA's military intelligence.
