Relaxation Therapy
This commonsense method of anxiety relief is related to techniques, such as transcendental meditation, that have been in use for thousands of years. Relaxation therapy has helped many people learn to reduce their own anxiety or stress. Studies have shown that people who undergo relaxation therapy show the opposite of the instinctive "fight-or-flight" stress reactions; that is, their heartbeat slows and they breathe more slowly.
