Insomnia
Due to Illness. Disorders of the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, pancreas, and digestive system, nutritional or endocrine problems, as well as infections are only a few of the medical problems associated with abnormal sleep patterns. People can be awakened by palpitations, indigestion, asthma, muscle aches, or any number of symptoms, or they may be wakeful for no apparent reason at all. Surgery almost always causes some temporary sleep disruptions.
