Mixed-Media Electronic Transfers: Pictures by Mail Each year for the past dozen years, the library of Essen University in West Germany has sponsored a symposium on automation and technology in libraries. In 1988 it was on CD-ROM products and their implication for libraries, and in 1989 on microcomputers in the 1990s.
I was fortunate enough to be asked to speak, and so in October presented a paper on the use of remote session software for information access, which will be published next year in the conference proceedings.
