AMEX LISTS FIRST CALL WARRANTS ON NIKKEI STOCK AVERAGE;

FOLLOWS INTRODUCTION OF FOUR PUT WARRANT ISSUES

NEW YORK, April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange today expanded its market for tracking the performance of major Japanese stocks with the introduction of trading in call warrants on the Nikkei Stock Average issued by Salomon Inc.

This new issue follows four successful listings of put warrants on the Nikkei Stock Average earlier this year, two of those also issued by Salomon Inc.

Trading under ticker symbol SXZ.WS, the new call warrants opened today at 3-3/8 on an initial trade of 851,000 warrants.
