Gambling board fines casino and managers $425,000
Detroit's Greektown Casino L.L.C. and Millennium Management Group L.L.C. have agreed to pay $425,000 in fines and costs to the Michigan Gaming Control Board for violations in their programs of complimentary meals and lodging for gamblers. Greektown acknowledged failing to have written contracts and failing to seek competitive bids for the ``comp'' programs. In addition, the casino acknowledged improperly using the comp program in certain Greektown restaurants and the Atheneum Suite Hotel, owned by Ted Gatzaros, Jim Papas and their wives.
