When the former lead singer of School of Fish finished his second solo album, his record company refused to release it, yet also refused to release Clayton-Felt from his contract.

The album, "Spirit Touches Ground,'' finally arrived in stores last week - two years after Clayton-Felt's death at age 32 from testicular cancer.

Strange to say, if Clayton-Felt were alive, this engaging album might still be buried. Its appearance is a tribute not only to the late musician's songs and irrepressible spirit, but to the efforts of his family and friends to get it released. ...
