Fresh Choice, Inc. (Nasdaq:SALD) today reported net income of $1,125,000, or $0.16 per diluted share, for fiscal year 2001 versus net income of $1,675,000, or $0.24 per share, in 2000.

For the fourth quarter, the Company reported a net loss of $907,000 or $0.15 per share, which included store-closure and asset-impairment expenses of $181,000 and restaurant-opening costs of $206,000.
