Fort Ontario will be the site Saturday for a birthday celebration honoring George Washington.
Displays of Revolutionary War weapons, clothing and equipment will be presented, along with military drills.
One of the special highlights of the event, which is sponsored by the staff and Friends of Fort Ontario, will be a demonstration of the differences between regular line troops and rangers, according to Richard LaCrosse Jr., historic site assistant at Fort Ontario.
If the weather cooperates, weapons will be fired during some of the demonstrations, LaCrosse said.
