CHICAGO-Calphalon bypassed its usual booth during the International Housewares Show in favor of hosting buyers at its new Culinary Center: a showcase for the company's upscale side.
While the move away from McCormick Place prompted the usual grousing from time-stressed attendees, the potential for using the Calphalon Culinary Center as a marketing tool was a concept others found exciting.
"I like the idea of working out a way to use the center in some way in the future," said one cookware buyer.
