A Classification of Foods and Physical Properties

This text is in the English, German, French and Spanish languages to facilitate a fuller understanding of the classification involved.

The original version of this classification was published back in 1968 in this very journal. The idea was, and still is, to provide a framework for the collection of data on the physical properties of foods. It next appeared in German in 1974 in enlarged and modified form. This version also offered the opportunity to ensure communication in two languages. Now it has been expanded to take in two more languages.
