There was a time when I thought chipmunks were cute.
That was before one of them declared war on my Toyota Avalon.
You must understand at the beginning that the Toyota is more than just a car; it is my security blanket. I searched for several months before I found this perfect car, a 1997 Avalon with leather seats, a sun roof and antilock brakes. Because it is 5 years old, I can even afford it.
The reason I wanted this car was that every piece of literature I could find told me the car would give me no problems, ever. One reviewer said it was a car for people who never look under the hood. That's me.
