Sensible Weight-Loss Methods
There are many sensible weight-loss programs. These will provide sufficient calories for nutritional adequacy (at least 1,200 a day), a variety of foods, and result in a gradual loss of 1 or 2 pounds a week. (If a more rapid weight loss is needed for medical reasons, the diet should be carried out under the careful supervision of a physician and/or dietitian.) More importantly, the diet should be based on a balanced eating regimen that can be happily adopted for life.
